THIMPHU FESTIVAL

The Thimphu Tshechu is Bhutan’s grandest and most vibrant religious festival, honoring Guru Rinpoche, the saint who brought Buddhism to the country. Held in the courtyard of Tashichho Dzong, it features elaborate masked dances (Cham) designed to bless attendees, protect the community, and cleanse bad karma
