The Punakha Festival (comprising the Punakha Drubchen and Punakha Tshechu) is a vibrant cultural and spiritual event held annually in February or March at the Punakha Dzong, Bhutan. It features historic battle reenactments, spectacular masked monk dances (Cham), and the cleansing unfurling of a giant sacred tapestry (Thongdrel).
