The Druk Wangyel Tshechu is a unique cultural event held annually on December 13th at the Dochula Pass (3,116 meters), approximately a 45-minute drive (22 km) from Thimphu. Unlike traditional religious festivals performed by monks, this event exclusively features the Royal Bhutan Army and Royal Bodyguards.
