BLACK-NECKED CRANE FESTIVAL

The annual Black-Necked Crane Festival takes place every November 11th in the courtyard of Gangtey Goenpa (monastery) in the picturesque Phobjikha Valley of central Bhutan. It celebrates the arrival of the endangered, migratory black-necked cranes from the Tibetan Plateau.
